iam ara a. asim .14 years old from iraq -kurdistan iam a kurdish figure skater i have not coach and i dont go on ice too much because it is expensive .. i just practice off ice and i found new jump in skating i tried it i did not fall it looks like a loop jump but it is inverse loop .... i call this jump ara
i used physics rules to make this jump .... watch my video carefully please and comment
i rotate to the left in my jumps or spins and i land on right leg.... in this jump i bend my right leg like an axel.

ok, well, first of all, im 13 and i figure skate. now, my little cousin whos 9 1/2 is skating and she's just about ready to start learning her axle. well now my aunt is like, "can u explain it to her?" and im like sure... but now i just realised, i have absoulutely NO IDEA how to explain 2 her!!! when i was 9 and learning my axle, i just watched my coach do it and i figured it out (im a fast learner :\)... but my cousin isnt, so how can i say it in WORDS to her. plz no video clips. i will b talking at the same time i am showing btw.

Why were the guys insecure/intimidated but not my friend?

First off I am a skater girl & love to skateboard. Last week they opened the new skate park in my town. But when I went their I was the only female skater amongst a crowd of boys. The only other girls were their GFs fanning themselves & looking bored. I got alot of unwelcome stares because they knew me as the skater girl, one guy even said why I was there. WTF?! I have every right to skate!

Anyways the only thing that made me feel comfortable was my best friend went with me, & my friend happens to be a guy. The thing is he isn't intimidated by me being a girl or having a girl as a friend. He's just so cool about it & nice, that's why I hang with him. Why were the other guys being such pricks? They make fun of my friend for being with me.

Ive been having a year long argument with my friend who is upsessed with The Ramones and The sex pistols, The Clash and all those old punk rock stuff... And I keep on telling him "DUDE!!! its punk rock!!!" Him- "No its not!! its soooo pop!" He says that punk rock was a term that was only used in the 70's and stuff and he says that the kind of bands like blink182 and stuff TRY to be punk when really they're just pop rock. He also says that pop punk and skate punk are just made up genres that don't exist. He also tells me to even ask any musician and they'll say the same thing but I think he is just in denial to admit the bands he doesn't like is all punk rock that has just evolved from the Ramones.... If you listen carefully you can actually see that Blink182 and Sum41 kinda sound like The Sex Pistols ( a little bit). Can someone please give me a answer. Im REALLY confused

i'm 17 just started ice skating 3 weeks ago teacher says i'm a natural, i would really love to become an amazing ice skater it's my dream! i am atm only able to got to lessons once a week but i stay back and practice for 5 hours each week and i just wantto be good i can already do crossovers up to 11 2-foot spins (which i taught myself) so i waswondering if there is any chance next year i will have more time to do more lessons as i will not be doing ballet everyday... so anyones opinion is welcome

And @ Katia. im not going to quite school. Im going to do online home school.. last year i ended the year with a 3.8 GPA, im not quiting school.. and about the job, i have no idea where to get one that will pay for ice time & coaching... ): but i fell in love with the sport. . and no, i don't have a lot to think about. if i see an opportunity for a scholarship, i have to get it.
And im a type of guy. that if someone, esp. a coach tells me to do something.. like a crazy jump, ill do it.. i might fall. but ill get up and do it agian..

After affect of shrooms?

Hi I'm 15 and i took a half eighth of psilocybin mushrooms last night... though I didn't hallucinate (except for maybe twice but it wasn't my concern anyway), my thoughts were amazing as it was like most of the philosophical thoughts I normally have were fully materialized and once my friend joined me it was even better because I could discuss it openly. (No homo here) It was as if we were in our own little bubble and that if we were to be talking to anyone who was sober we would have had the hardest time ever doing it... Anyway, the point of the whole thing is that this whole day I've felt so incredible. On our way skating over to my house it just seemed like everything about nature was so much more noticeable than it was before and all i've been doing before getting online has been sitting outside in the sun... I even feel better about myself and when I look at myself in the mirror I don't seem to care if I'm ugly or handsome. I was wondering if it was just that a) A bit of the psilocin from the mushrooms is still in my seystem producing a light high b) I'm just recovering from the trip or c) Am I really going to stay this way even after going back to school monday... sorry for the long winded question everyone :)
