how can i figure out how long this longboard is? (skateboard)?

hey guys i found this longboard on Amazon and i think i really want to buy it as my first longboard but i want it to be at least 40 inches long. Based on the info i could find on the page i could not figure out how long it was, I'm not used to amazon so maybe theres a spec box or something, i don't know.

Nose pierced for 10th birthday?

My daughter will be 10 in November. She desperately wants her nose pierced.

A little background on my daughter:

She has always been a tomboy, has been skateboarding since she was 5 and pretty good at it too, she is one of 6 black children in her school, only listens to Classic Rock/Heavy Metal, went to a Metallica show last year, LOVED IT, has gauged her ears for the past 2 years (she decided to stop at a 10 gauge), buzzed her hair - leaving chin length bangs, dyed black and red. Saved her allowance to buy a custom skateboard ($200) after she split her board. Her style has always been a mix of skater and rocker and she loves and takes pride in her style and uniqueness.

Knowing my soon-to-be 10 year old for 10 years, I know this is something she really wants, she is mature enough to handle and wants to get because she wants it, not because her friends have it (which none do). I have decided to let her do it - IF I can find a place that will do it.

I want to know your honest, but polite opinions. Do you think 10 is too young and WHY?

Alyssa -An 8year old attempted suicide in her class last year, 2 other 4th graders were found with vodka and puking in the school bathroom, other 4th grade girls wear clothes that say SEXY...If piercings and dying her hair is the worst thing my child wants to do, then I'll gladly let her express herself waayyy too much. (and the guages are smaller than a pencil eraser)
Alex- GREAT POINTS!!!!!! And that is why I feel so strongly about letting her do it. When I was 10 my mom let me get my cartilage pierced and I still have it. I got my eyebrows pierced at 12 - parents weren't pleased but believe in self expression as I do, and I still have them. I had all of my piercings and all but 3 tattoos before I was 18 and don't regret a single one. We aren't talking tattoos (just yet lol), just a small hole in her nose.

Why were the guys insecure/intimidated but not my friend?

First off I am a skater girl & love to skateboard. Last week they opened the new skate park in my town. But when I went their I was the only female skater amongst a crowd of boys. The only other girls were their GFs fanning themselves & looking bored. I got alot of unwelcome stares because they knew me as the skater girl, one guy even said why I was there. WTF?! I have every right to skate!

Anyways the only thing that made me feel comfortable was my best friend went with me, & my friend happens to be a guy. The thing is he isn't intimidated by me being a girl or having a girl as a friend. He's just so cool about it & nice, that's why I hang with him. Why were the other guys being such pricks? They make fun of my friend for being with me.

ok so i just got a sector 9 bamboo longboard the burliegh..i want to keep the graphic so does slip tape work on a long board? i no i would have to buy like two pieces though, does any one no if it'll work thanks!

Is it time to find a new Friend, when the one you got bashes your career goals.?

I mean all he does is bash police, he call them racist idiots and that they are useless. He said police explorers is waste of time and my Saturday will be filled up. I told him if having fun then my Saturday aren't filled and it my life not his. I'm thinking about just not talking to him anymore, I mean true friends would be on your side and not call your job pointless. It not only police it almost everything I do skateboarding and boxing he bashes too. He says I have no life and I need to quiet skateboarding or police and hang with friends. So im in high school, i wear 'skater' brands like DC Volcom hurley vans or whatever, but i dont skate and if someone were to ask me if i skated i would tell them no.. i just dont want people to call me a poser, its just clothes... What do you think?

I was watching the extreme sports channel and they played this skateboard/punk/rock song with tony hawk. Hey, I was planning on getting a custom designed deck, but all of the online software is just not quite what I'm looking for. I was wondering if I could take a hand drawn design to a silk screening place, and just have them transfer the graphic onto a blank deck. It's my birthday in about 2 weeks. I quited skating about 4-5 months ago, but then I started again 2 days ago. And I'm just wondering if it is worth it to get a new custom skateboard for my birthday? This is a very wierd situation...?

Ok... me and my friend are really into skating. We're pretty tight too. My friend cares more about his boards than anything else... literally. So about a year ago me and my friend are skating and my other friend was fixing up my board, so I ask to use his... i try to do a trick and as i go to land it, the board slips out from under my feet and under a car which I didn't see coming. The car ran over the skateboard and it was not usable anymore. My friend hasn't been mad at me about it until about 2 weeks ago... now he is demanding money for his wrecked board and his "wrecked computer" which I have never touched. I told him I'm not going to pay him back for it and if that happened to me I would just let it go. He said that either I would cough up the dough for a new Baker skateboard with Thunder trucks and Baker wheels, or he would snap my new board or break my $750 Gibson guitar. And to sum it all up like I said earlier THIS WAS A YEAR AGO. Tell me what i should tell him / or do.
I dont want my parents getting into this and i dont have any freakin money!

I have 3 reasons
The obvious one- to skateboard, ride bikes etc.
2- a place to socialize , and hang out
3- so place where teens can be instead of wondering around the streets

So i went and hung with friends there's my friend named Samy and this hot kid named Matt. well we had gotten to the park and they were sitting there Samy in Matt's arms. i asked if they were dating and hes like h*ll no so I'm like k. well i had been messing around and accidentally made the skateboard hit me in the neck i freaked out for a min cuz i couldn't breath but then i could and i was like my neck is numb and sorta hurts is that normal and Samy's like no and Matt's like come here and ill kiss it better... now he is like a lil man whore but everyone freaked out cuz hes never said that to someone that he wasn't dating... Does this like means that he like me or like wtf?!?! Plz help and sry it was sorta long...
