Answer #3:
I've been all over Europe and several parts of the Middle East and I can tell you that America is STILL the BEST country to live in. I'm sorry that you find the fact that most Americans are hard-working a negative trait. My husband and I both work 40 hours a week, with the occasional overtime, and we're both very happy and are able to provide a good life for our child. We're not rich by any means, but we're comfortable with a great quality of life and I take great pride it the fact that we've earned everything we have. With that being said, I know several people, many members of my immediate family included, that don't have it so great, and live paycheck to paycheck. I can guarantee you though that if you asked them where they would prefer to live they would say the USA...statistics be damned. This country may not be perfect, but show me one that is...and if you can, well, maybe you should move there.
Answer #4:
the one thing that worries me about the US is the huge deficit which seems to be growing daily. Some where this has to be reduced. China has no such deficit and their economy is growing at a stupendous rate. How the US is going to pay off this obscene amount remains to be seenAnswer #5:
the ppl that say USA is the best country to live in are the people doing well here, i doubt if u asked any of the 40 million uninsured people living here if they think this is the best country in the world they wouldnt say it is, IF you are rich i believe this can still be the best country, but for the AVERAGE citizen, the european countries are FAR FAR better off, countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, have EXTREMELY high standards of living, there is such small homeless populations there, and education is almsot entirely free, great public transporation, healthcare provided, almost no crime, no nothing, they r jus enjoying life there, all the idiots that say I HAVE BEEN TO EUROPE AND USA IS STILL BETTER are only saying that because they have a nice life in the US, the fact is an average joe in America has a much lower standard of living then an average joe in most European countriesAnswer #6:
No everything cost more here if i have a chose i rather live in hong kong or tokyo.Answer #7:
Yes, I do-despite our problems. I can only speak for myself, but I love my country, its history based on freedom and independence. I respect our founding fathers who were incredibly courageous, insightful, and understood the importance of liberty. Americans are hardworking, generous and will put up with alot--but, when it becomes apparent ( as it is today ) that the Govt. has too much control, we will take it back.America's beauty is its voice of freedom, power and democracy. I would not live any where else.
Answer #8:
It may be the best country to live in for others but not for everyone. I live in a small country with a population of less than one million. We have free education, free hospitalization, Minimal housing fee, subsidized gasoline (0.52 cents) per liter. Subsidized cars, rice, sugar, etc. Lowest crime rate in the region, self sufficient with billions of oil reserves, happy and wonderfull people, and most of all, a caring ang loving monarch. what else can I say, this is the best place for me.Answer #9:
YES I THINK THE U.S.A IS THE BEST COUNTRY TO LIVE IN THE WORLD.Answer #10:
Yeah, the USA is still the best.Of course, I can't expect everybody to agree. And the world would be a lot poorer if ONLY the USA existed. Variety is the spice of life.
Answer #11:
The USA is not a country for living in: it is a society-plucking setup for assorted vultures.Answer #12:
Don't get me wrong because America has and continues to bring great things to the world, such as excellent technologies BUT i would not live in America mainly because of the danger to my personal safety and security, i Live in Britain and i feel, relatively safe, we don't have many murders here but in America there are 35 gun related deaths a DAY and much more violent crime rates, but then again the US population is much more greater than ours. I feel that China is already the world's greatest superpower, i'm sorry but the US is no longer in the lead, China bring us many, many great things which benefit humanity in the end and they will continue to do so, there economy is in no dire deficit like the US and UK and there economy is growing at a rapid rate of acceleration, but the US is, i feel, heading back into recession and will, imminently bring another war to fight, with Iran or North Korea, which is good for no one.** Powered by Yahoo Answers
